A Song of Deliverance

thoughts stemming from yesterday's sermon. Exodus 15. Read this celebratory song!

What has been leading up to this point of the story?

Just been taking a few minutes to reflect on what God has been doing to lead up to this point in His story. It's always really powerful to reflect on the last year and think about how God has orchestrated significant events in our lives.

Jump

I really want to go skydiving. Too cold in the winter, but a few weeks ago when the weather was so great, I just wanted to jump out of a plane and see my city. When I am away from my city I miss it. I have a real love for my city. I lived here my whole life and it is really where my heart is. I believe that greater things are yet to come here. I sometimes go to the top of the mountain and look over my city and pray over it. It really moves me when I sit there on the mountain top and look out and see a city that is in the process of awakening.

prayer...

awakening: to hunger and thirst for the things of God. To be alive and fully embracing the Kingdom of God in our lives, workplaces and other spaces. to not live by the systems of this world, but know that God has called us to more.

how high, how deep!

"Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow- not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below- indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord" - Romans 8:35-39.

In All things, We know that, we are more than conquerors,

You keep us by your love!

In All things, We know that, we are more than conquerors,

You keep us by your love! ~ How High! How wide! No matter where I am- healing is in your hands. How Deep! How Strong! Now by your grace I stand, healing is in your hands.

all things

This is the latest scripture passage I have been meditating on. Notice the use of the words all, everything and all things.

Christ Is Supreme (Colossians 1:15-20)

15 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.

He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,

16 for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth.

He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—

such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world

Everything was created through him and for him.

17 He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.

18 Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body.

He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead.

So he is first in everything.

19 For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ,

20 and through him God reconciled everything to himself.

He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.

I am going to memorize this passge. Hold me to it! What a rich passage. Be encouraged today!
